Pesto hearts
Ingredients
- white bread, sliced
- pesto, basil or sun-dried tomato
- cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
- Preheat grill on high. Use a 7cm-diameter heart-shaped pastry cutter to cut hearts from slices of white bread.
- Place the hearts on a baking tray and cook under grill for 1-2 minutes each side or until toasted.
- Spread 1 side of the toasts with bought basil or sun-dried tomato pesto and sprinkle with grated cheddar.
- Cook under grill for 2 minutes or until the cheddar melts.
- Place on a serving plate and serve with a soft-boiled egg.
