Pesto hearts

Ingredients

  1. white bread, sliced
  2. pesto, basil or sun-dried tomato
  3. cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Preheat grill on high. Use a 7cm-diameter heart-shaped pastry cutter to cut hearts from slices of white bread.
  2. Place the hearts on a baking tray and cook under grill for 1-2 minutes each side or until toasted.
  3. Spread 1 side of the toasts with bought basil or sun-dried tomato pesto and sprinkle with grated cheddar.
  4. Cook under grill for 2 minutes or until the cheddar melts.
  5. Place on a serving plate and serve with a soft-boiled egg.
