In the last 10 years Floridia Cheese has re-located its manufacturing division to a large commercial site in the Melbourne suburb of Thomastown having out-grown its original Bundoora factory. This offers ample space for future development and includes administration, sales/marketing and logistics.

 

Indeed in the last 5 years Floridia has averaged a growth rate of 20%.

" We manufacture up to 2500 tonnes of cheese per annum with a permanent staff of 50 highly specialized people plus additional seasonal staff as required. "

 

Looking to the future Floridia will continue it's tradition of producing Italian style cheese items with unique selling points; whether this is commissioning worlds latest technology in mozzarella manufacture and presentation or continuing to craft its famous wheels of hard cheese.

 

Floridia is taking a leading role in the development of portion cheese pack manufacture as a key ingredient in value added meals and complete salad products.

 

Floridia saw the need to create the first single serve portion of grated parmesan cheese! Developed primarily for the food service market to provide a safe, hygienic and consistently high quality measure of parmesan cheese to dress and add flavour to prepared food dishes.

The future will see Floridia continuing its investment in product innovation and development; taking a leading role within the Australian Dairy industry to support ever increasing consumer interest, hospitality sector demand and food ingredient requirement.
